Richard Skeggs

After graduating as a dentist at Manchester Dental Hospital in 1984, Dr Skeggs worked for some years in general dental practice in Derby. He left the practice partnership to start specialist orthodontic training at the Dental School in Sheffield and at the Derby Royal Infirmary. He obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Sheffield in 2005 and subsequently passed further specialist examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2006. Dr Skeggs is registered with the General Dental Council as a specialist in orthodontics. He is a member of the Orthodontic Specialist Group of the British Orthodontic Society and is a certified Invisalign practitioner.

Dr Skeggs is a member of the British Orthodontic Society, the British Dental Association, a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontics and a Member of the American Orthodontic Association. He is also secretary of the Nottingham Orthodontic Managed Clinical Network, a member of the Derby Orthodontic Managed Clinical Network and treasurer of the Nottingham Local Dental Committee.

Ajay Patel

Dr Patel graduated in 2000 in Leeds and is a registered Specialist in Orthodontics with the General Dental Council. He undertook specialist training in Sheffield and Derby and achieved his Master’s degree in Clinical Dentistry in Sheffield in 2008. In 2009 he successfully completed specialist examinations at the Royal College in Edinburgh. He joined Pure Orthodontics as an associate in 2015 and is a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
